Revival Sports Badminton Academy and Revival Sports Eydhafushi combined to secure an impressive 37 medals at the 4th AIBA Open Junior Badminton Championship 2026, underlining the strength and depth of the academies’ junior development project.

The two academies collected a combined 10 gold, 10 silver and 17 bronze medals across various age-group events at the tournament.

Revival Sports Badminton Academy (RSBA) led the overall medal tally with 21 medals, comprising 4 gold, 7 silver and 10 bronze, while Revival Sports Eydhafushi (RSE) secured 16 medals, including 6 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze.

The results highlighted strong performances across multiple age groups, with athletes from both academies featuring prominently in singles and doubles events.

For RSBA, the gold medals came through Alaya in the Under-13 Girls’ Singles, Alaya and Marsha in the Under-13 Girls’ Doubles, Akil and Yuan in the Under-15 Boys’ Doubles, and Naaim and Alaf in the Under-11 Boys’ Doubles, with the latter title representing a combined RSBA and RSE pairing.

RSBA’s silver medalists were Kai (U9 Boys’ Singles), Naaim (U11 Boys’ Singles), Yailyn and Ayra (U11 Girls’ Singles), Haajar and Noorain (U13 Girls’ Doubles), Akil (U15 Boys’ Singles), Nyam and Laisa (U15 Girls’ Doubles), and Shaha and Alina (U17 Girls’ Doubles).

The academy also claimed 10 bronze medals. Zaya finished third in U9 Girls’ Singles, while Yailyn took bronze in U11 Girls’ Singles. Other bronze-medal performances came from Luyoona (U13 Girls’ Singles), Nyam (U15 Girls’ Singles), Romana and Naaya (U15 Girls’ Doubles), Marvin and Musab (U15 Boys’ Doubles), Najil and Rahuk (U15 Boys’ Doubles), Aydhin (U17 Boys’ Singles), Laina (U17 Girls’ Singles), and Nashith (U19 Boys’ Singles).

Revival Sports Eydhafushi produced an equally strong showing, collecting six gold medals. Awf won the U17 Boys’ Singles title, while Awf and Aydhin claimed U17 Boys’ Doubles. Laara secured the U17 Girls’ Doubles title, Thilaal and Luyoon won U13 Boys’ Doubles, Risham captured U15 Boys’ Singles, and Alaf added the U11 Boys’ Singles gold.

RSE’s silver medals came through Yoosuf (U13 Boys’ Singles), Risham and Shail (U15 Boys’ Doubles), and Laara (U17 Girls’ Doubles).

The Eydhafushi academy also collected seven bronze medals, with Nooh finishing third in U9 Boys’ Singles, Luyoon in U13 Boys’ Singles, Yoosuf and Azaan in U13 Boys’ Doubles, Ashna in U15 Girls’ Singles, Shail in U15 Boys’ Singles, Saja and Ashna in U15 Girls’ Doubles, and Ilan and Zeek in U17 Boys’ Doubles.

The combined medal haul reflects the growing depth of Revival Sports’ junior programme and the continued development of players across both the Malé-based academy and its Eydhafushi affiliate.

Revival Sports said it was proud of the athletes and the effort they demonstrated throughout the championship, with their hard work, dedication and determination reflected in their performances and contributing to the strong overall result.

With athletes achieving podium finishes across the U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 categories, the 37-medal performance provides further encouragement for Revival Sports’ long-term strategy of developing young badminton talent and creating a strong pathway towards higher-level national and international competition.
